Temperature guidelines for your baby

When using Koodle Doodle products there are some important safety guidelines that should be followed to make sure your baby is happy and cozy without the risk of over heating. Koodle Doodle suggests placing a thermometer in your nursery to determine room temperature. Please carefully read Koodle Doodle's advice below relating to each of our baby products.

For our Dozy sleeping bags

Temperature guide....

15-19 c - Tog 2.5 with long sleeved body suit or light jim-jams.
19-21 c - Tog 1 with long sleeved body suit or light jim-jams, or tog 2.5 with long or short sleeved body suit.
21-24 c - Tog 1 with vest underneath or short sleeved body suit.

• Don't forget this is just koodle's guide. Please check your baby is the correct temperature by checking baby's neck.
• Approximate tog rating only.
• Please make sure your baby is comfortable and does not over-heat.
• Not suitable for babies under 3.2kg (7lb 7oz).

For our Cot Quilts

Product guide:

• All cot quilts are a 4 tog rating approximately.
• Not suitable for children under the age of 1 year.
• Please check your baby is the correct temperature by checking baby's neck or tummy.
• Maintain a regular room temperature of approximately 16-20 C.
• Use quilt with caution remember a folded quilt counts as two.
• Do not worry if baby's feet or hands feel cool, this is normal.
• Always place your baby on his/her back and in the FEET TO FOOT position as shown in the diagram below:

Feet to foot position:

• Make sure baby's feet are at foot of the cot with covers tucked securely.
• Please keep baby's head uncovered as this is where baby loses most heat.

For our Cushions

• Make sure you do not place any cushions in baby's cot whilst sleeping.
• Remember, any of our products containing buttons are not suitable for children under 3 years old.
